WanGong Lin (林碗公) is the lead choreographer at iDance Studio Taipei and the founder of the Taiwan Twerk Family Workshop — the dance collective that put Taiwan on the global twerk map between 2021 and 2024. His specialty is ensemble choreography: six dancers hitting the same mark on the same beat, camera pulled wide to catch every body.
His 2024 Taiwan Twerk Family Workshop Vol.5 collaboration with Kerry Chiu — DaniLeigh "Tasty" — is the single most-copied K-dance twerk video of the last five years. If you've seen a Taipei studio post on Twerkhub, WanGong's phrasing is probably what you're watching.
Three marks of a WanGong piece: (1) static wide camera — no handheld cuts, no close-up edits, just one master shot; (2) perfect ensemble sync — if one dancer is a frame off, the take is scrapped; (3) foot planted phrasing — feet rarely leave the floor, all movement is hip isolation and upper-body work.
iDance Studio YouTube channel · occasional guest appearances at regional cons (FF46 Taipei, CosForce Taiwan). Workshops in Taipei open-enrollment every 6 weeks.
