Bio

BEFOX is Seoul's premier studio for K-pop × stripdance crossover. They inherited the Korean dance-school infrastructure (100+ studios operating in Gangnam alone), absorbed vocabulary from the Russian + Ukrainian stripdance tour circuit, and built a hybrid style that doesn't exist anywhere else.

Lead voice: FOX Choreography. Her Sam Smith "Unholy" treatment is the canonical example of what BEFOX does — K-pop ensemble discipline + stripdance floor vocabulary + twerk isolations, executed at stage-production quality.

Technique signature

Three marks: (1) trio choreo — BEFOX pieces are usually 3-4 dancers, not 6-8 like K-dance ensembles; (2) heels + floor fluency — the stripdance DNA shows in every piece; (3) darker aesthetic — lighting, wardrobe, music selection lean moodier than iDance's bright Taipei aesthetic.

If iDance Taipei is daylight K-dance, BEFOX Seoul is midnight K-dance.

Why BEFOX matters

They proved that K-pop methodology + stripdance vocabulary + twerk can produce something genuinely new. Not a fusion for fusion's sake — a hybrid that's more expressive than either parent style alone. The 2023-2025 wave of "dark K-dance" videos on YouTube all trace back to BEFOX's influence, whether or not the imitators credit them.
