Before "twerk" was a category on YouTube it was a Fraules Team video. DHQ Fraules — the choreographer behind Fraules Team, based in Novosibirsk, Russia — uploaded "NEW twerk choreo by DHQ Fraules - Travis Porter Bring it back" and put up numbers (60M+ views) that the entire genre is still chasing. That single piece is the most-replayed twerk choreography in the entire archive.
Fraules Team trained the first wave of Russian twerk instructors. Half the Russian-language roster on Twerkhub (Velvet Young, Street Project, Model 357, MDC NRG) traces its lineage back through Fraules events, workshops, or judges' panels.
Three marks of a Fraules piece: (1) group geometry — she choreographs for a 6-12 person team with the camera on a single static angle, so spacing and isolation become the visual; (2) punch on the bass — the impact moments hit on bass kicks, not snare, which is why her videos read as physical even with the volume off; (3) street wear, not studio — the team performs in tracksuits or casuals, no costumes, which translates the choreography from "dance class" to "this is what we are wearing tomorrow".
Fraules Team runs intensives and tour workshops. Best entry point is the team's official channel and Instagram @fraules — they announce city visits 4-6 weeks ahead. Workshops historically sell out the same week.
